Muslim pilgrims have been taking part in the stoning of the devil ritual as part of the annual Hajj. Fourteen people were killed in a stampede during the ceremony.
More than two million Muslims have been taking part in the Hajj pilgrimage, culminating in the stoning the devil ritual
The pilgrims throw pebbles at a pillar symbolising the devil
The ritual has caused stampedes before as thousands of people are on the move
After the stoning ceremony, pilgrims shave one another's heads
All Muslims are supposed to make the pilgrimage once in their lifetime
Before the stoning ritual, pilgrims had been to Mount Arafat to pray - the site where Mohammad delivered his last sermon
