In pictures: Haifa bus bomb

Eight Israelis have been killed in a suicide bombing on a bus near Haifa in northern Israel.

The bomber was also killed and at least 14 people were wounded. The Islamic militant group Hamas has claimed responsibility.

The roof of the bus was ripped off by the force of the explosion

The injured were rushed to hospital in nearby Haifa

The dead were removed from the wreckage

And laid along the roadside

Investigators moved in to inspect the scene

While teams of orthodox Jews moved in to collect the victim's remains for burial

Every scrap of flesh and drop of blood must be collected
