Israeli air strikes in east and south Lebanon

Israeli warplanes attacked a Palestinian guerrilla base in eastern Lebanon early today An Israeli military spokesman said the base -- in the Bekaa Valley -- belonged to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, General Command.

Israeli jets also fired missiles at a suspected stronghold of the Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon.

It followed an earlier attack by Hezbollah forces on an armoured vehicle inside the Israeli-occupied zone.

There are no reports of casualties from the attacks
