Guilty dogs? Your pictures

Otto, a Hungarian Vizsla

Research suggests that the "guilty look" on a dog's face is all in the owner's head. Owner John Chastly sent in this picture of Otto, a mischievous dog known to steal food and eat socks. Guilty?

Carmel with bread

Sarah Peppel's dog Carmel usually steals chocolate. On this occasion, she made do with bread.

Wesley the dog

David once returned home to find his dog Wesley looking incredibly guilty. He never found out what he did but given it was Christmas Day, he might have enjoyed an early lunch.

Rita from Wisconsin, USA, is convinced that her dog Sasha is smiling behind the carton of dog treats.

Abbey was found on her owner Edan’s duvet. She looked comfy but was obviously torturing herself with guilt.

Abbie sent in this picture of rescued dog Harley licking his lips. We’re told he’s not usually a thief, but on this occasion he must have found a little something he couldn’t resist.

Julie Giesens: "My golden retriever Heidi, pictured with some 'contraband', a glove."

Jango left his owner Kevin a present and decided to hide.
