A fire has swept through a day-care centre in the north-western Mexican city of Hermosillo, killing many children.
Almost 200 children were at the state-run ABC centre when the fire broke out.
Onlookers helped out in the effort to free children from the building, many of whom were treated at the scene for burns and smoke inhalation.
Officials warned that the death toll may rise further, as many children remained unaccounted for.
The fire spread so rapidly that fire fighters had to knock holes in the walls to rescue children from the building.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately confirmed, but it appears to have started next door to the centre, in a tyre depot filled with flammable materials
