Daniel Furon's photo of a futuristic egg starts this week's gallery of readers' pictures on the theme of silver. It's the second week running for Daniel as one of his pictures featured in last week's gallery too.

Louise Simpson visited the reopened Waterlily House in London's Kew Gardens. She said: "I love the reflection on the water; it’s so still it looks like a mirror, except you can just see where the petal dips into the water it looks like molten silver."
