Derek Pake from Troon took this impressive photograph at Portencross Pier, Ayrshire, "just as the sun went down".

David Laird from Falkirk sent in this picture of his brother-in-law, also David, "on the East Ridge of the Innaccessible Pinnacle, Sgurr Dearg, Skye".

Jim Ramsay from Carnoustie captured this shot of steam locomotive "Sir Nigel Gresley" just north of Cupar, Fife.

This picture of a lamb sheltering at a haystack near Old Rayne, close to Bennachie, was sent in by Terry Eve. "A perfect rural Aberdeenshire shot", he said.

Paul Cooper from Derbyshire took this impressive shot at the Bay of Laig, Eigg, looking towards the Isle of Rum.

"I just loved their form", said Polly Pullar from Aberfeldy about these "weeping Ash trees" at Taymouth Castle.

This lovely shot was sent in by Kathleen McGarva. It was taken as she walked the West Highland Way between 11 and 18 May.

"Reflections of Tigh Mor" (previously Trossachs Hotel) at Loch Achray was how Alex Crease from Gloucestershire titled his picture.

"I spotted this Adder when out hillwalking recently in the Cairngorms", said Kathryn Jeffrey.

"The photo is on the road to Mallaig on a nice sunny day", said Ray Cavanagh from Glasgow.

This colourful early-morning shot of a butterfly drying out on a bluebell was taken by Alastair McCulloch while he was cycling near Gartmorn Dam in Clackmannanshire.
