Statue of Liberty: Your pictures

But when Rob Christopher visited Liberty Island in 1997 he was able to view the New York skyline from the crown.

It was a rainy day on Liberty Island in July 2005 when Duane Ruth-Heffelbower was visiting from California.

Sharon Dean had better luck with the weather when she visited New York in 2007.

Steve Melnikoff took this shot looking into the sun so he could get a silhouette.
