Chilean Flamingos

These Chilean Flamingos were photographed by Gordon Ross, from Harris, during a visit to Edinburgh Zoo.

Sandstone rock

This unusual sandstone rock was captured by John French on Crovie beach in Aberdeenshire. He said: "The strata is certainly very finely laid down and eroded to give an almost wood-like appearance."

Graffiti

Dave Fraser submitted this picture of "unusual graffiti in Pollokshields, Glasgow, on a hoarding at a demolition site".

Muirshiel Waterfall

This picture of Muirshiel Waterfall in Clyde Muirshiel Country Park, was sent in by Fraser Reid, from Beith, North Ayrshire.

Cherry blossoms

"A wonderful natural picture," was how Mojtaba Hadian described this image of people walking under cherry blossoms in Edinburgh's Meadows.

Train

Deisel locomotive number 37097 was snapped at the preserved Caledonian Railway in Brechin by volunteer, Richard Birse, as it started up after an engine repair.

Rum sunrise

This beautiful sunrise on Rum was captured by Seona Macintosh from Edinburgh. She said: "What a wonderful site to wake up to."

Fyrish Hill Monument

Dunrobin Gardens

"Gardening is a real art," said Zibby Bagniuk from Aberdeen who sent in this picture of Dunrobin Gardens, near Golspie.

Glencoe

"A beautiful day in Glencoe," was how Keith Bremner, from Inverness, described his submission.

Fairy Bridge

Arthur Montgomery from Glasgow sent in this photograph of the Fairy Bridge in Glen Creran, Argyll and Bute. He said the waterfall in the background looks like an "eerie figure" trying to cross the bridge.

Colin Stewart from Livingston, West Lothian, said: "While on a teabreak from decorating my hall, I got this picture by pure chance."
