A suit made of Arctic wool and rare south American wool with 18-carat gold and diamond buttons has been sold to a mystery buyer for £70,000.

After 60 years in the business Evelyn Blackburn, from Pinner, in north-west London, has been hailed as Britain's oldest masseuse. The 98-year-old started the job in 1949 and still sees clients at her home.

Elephant sculptures

A colourful herd of 200 fibreglass elephants will appear in London this summer to raise money for conservation charities to protect India's elephants.

EMD Cinema in Walthamstow

Actors Tony Robinson and Meera Syal joined a campaign to stop plans to turn EMD Cinema in Walthamstow into a church. Alfred Hitchcock used to watch films at the cinema as a child.
