Mist over rocks

Ben Thorburn took this shot of Bow Fiddle Rock at Portknockie, on the Moray coast, the day after a 30th birthday party in Aberdeen. He said: "Getting the shot certainly blew away the cobwebs."

"This is a picture of Strudel's piglets, Gloucester Old Spots, on a farm in Islay last week," said Polly Pullar, from Crachan Farm in Aberfeldy, Perthshire.

Men cleaning ferris wheel

Robert Bain from Edinburgh sent in this picture. He said: "I work next to Ocean Terminal and spotted these two braving the heights washing the big Wheel of M&D's funfair."

Stewart Spark, from Dunoon, Took this picture on a "beeeeeeezer of a day" in the garden.

Men in kilts carrying caber

Pete Reid, from Brooklyn, formerly of Barrhead, sent in this shot of members of the New York Tartan Army getting ready to carry the world's largest caber in the annual New York Tartan Day Parade.

"This picture of a falcon was taken at one of the medieval festivals in Scotland," said Zibby Bagniuk from Aberdeen. "Look at him, he looks so proud!"

Jim Doonan, from Duntocher, took this shot of a peacock buttefly at Kelvingrove Art Gallery while waiting for it to open.

Snowy loch

Edwina Hogg, from Edinburgh, said she had a great weekend away at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel, near to where she took this picture. She said: "So many great views and well worth a visit."

Keith Walker from Edinburgh, said: "I thought you may like this photo of 'Sir Fred' at the RBS Annual General Meeting. I think he has realised the error of his ways."

Sarah-Jane Hall, from Banff, sent in this shot of her Husky-Collie cross, Kyra, looking towards Whitehills.

Seagull

This picture of a seagull at Eyemouth Harbour was sent in by David Ross. He said: "I thought the 'pose' was quite unusual."

Tay bridge

This unusual shot of the Tay Rail Bridge was taken by David Griffiths from Perth. He said: "It had been misty but the mist had largely burned off leaving the river looking like glass."
