Swan in flight

Ian McAtter took this photograph during the Scottish Schools Rowing Championships on the Forth and Clyde Canal near Kilsyth.

Rainbow and car

Ken Carson, from Glasgow, was having lunch with his friend at the River Orchy, in Glen Orchy in his old Land Rover, when he captured the scenery "catching a little rainbow in the background too".

Brian Smith, from Tullibody, sent in this picture of his son Euan inspecting a bucket of frogspawn. He is naming the male tadpoles Jimi Hendrix and the girls Britney Spears.

R Grant of Dunfermline said he captured this image at Butterfly World, Lasswade, with a standard 18-55mm lens and "a lot of patience".
