Earlier, the star's bridesmaids arrived at her house wearing flesh-coloured bathing caps in a show of solidarity with the bride, who has been undergoing chemotherapy.

The lavish ceremony was held in the Down Hall country house hotel in Essex. Goody was said to be feeling unwell the night before the ceremony after a week of hectic preparations.

Goody arrived at the hotel by helicopter on Saturday night. Her publicist, Max Clifford, said she would be well enough to go ahead with the wedding "after a decent night's sleep".

Tweed and photographers

The groom may have regretted his attire after discovering photographers camped outside his mother's house.

Max Clifford

Goody's friend and publicist Max Clifford addressed reporters outside the ceremony. "She's like a little one that's just woken up on Christmas Day," he said.

Antony Costa

Former Blue singer Antony Costa was just one celebrity who braved the media scrum to attend the wedding.

Mollie, 11 Alicia, eight, and their mother, Lyn, were among the well-wishers who arrived at the venue with cards, gifts and banners.

During the ceremony, a plane flew overhead trailing a "Jade loves Jack" banner. Clifford said the service had been "beautiful".
