In pictures: Painting pregnancy

A slightly-nervous Mari Williams prepares her "blank canvas" for face painter Erica Norman, who has begun a pregnant bump-painting service.

Erica, based in New Brighton, Flintshire, is offering her skills free. Less intricate work, like backgrounds, can be sponged on.

Three weeks before her second child is due, Mari watches the most time-consuming part of the work, which is doing fine detail like flowers.

Erica tries her best to put mums-to-be at ease.

The process also allows expectant mums to grab a couple of hours' relaxation.

Final touches include "shimmering" to add some shine to the finished piece.

Erica has a number of designs to choose from, but mums can also pick their own.

Mums are able to check the artwork's progress with a mirror.
