Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Japan on 27 October and one of their first engagements was at a Tokyo museum, where they received a warm welcome from students...
... and from Asimo, Honda's humanoid robot. The couple's visit to Japan marked 150 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Britain.
The future King was not entirely sure what to do with the bamboo sword he was given at Keio University in Tokyo.
In addition to meeting dignitaries, politicians and other royalty, Charles and Camilla enjoyed a wide range of cultural experiences during their 10-day tour.
It may not be English Breakfast, but Prince Charles enjoyed a mug of green tea with Japan's Princess Takamado in the Afan Forest.
And while her husband toured the forest, Camilla attended a "From Scotland with Love" event in Tokyo.
Camilla visited a Tokyo hospital where the children were given dogs to play with. The Royal couple also took in the Todaiji Temple, an important centre for Buddhism, during their visit to Japan.
Next stop, Brunei. The royal couple spent the day with Gurkha soldiers at the British base in Seria.
Despite their packed itinerary in Brunei, the royal couple managed to squeeze in a bit of shopping. The Duchess of Cornwall returned home after Brunei, while the Prince carried on to Indonesia.
It is a cause close to his heart, and climate change was at the centre of this tour. Prince Charles planted trees at several rainforest conservation projects.
He had a few dress rehearsals in Japan and Brunei, but this was the big speech. Prince Charles set out his rainforest plan to the Indonesian president and his cabinet in Jakarta.
