Bilston Glen protest site is a camp south of Edinburgh. The protesters have concerns over the environmental impact of a proposed bypass. The camp has been there for six years.
BBC News website reader Gabriela Antosova has been to the camp and sent this report. "Some of the shelters have been constructed at great heights in order to remain safe from intruders."
"This is one of the older tree-houses waiting to be dismantled. The structures are lashed to the trees using the inner tubes from bicycle tyres and ropes as this allows the tree to move."
"Some of the constructions are basic. Just a floor, a few bent branches and a canvas on the top."
"Other shelters are of more sturdy wooden construction, and some of them also have small stoves inside."
"On the road leading to the camp, notices provide information about the protesters and why they are there."
"Children from the local village often come to the camp to play - utilising the large nets as a makeshift trampoline."
"Pets also have a place at the camp. They are allowed to run free without collars or leads."
