Artist Damien Hirst is putting hundreds of his art works up for sale. He is seen here with a piece called Beautiful Atomic Collision of Flames: Force of Nature Painting.
The 2-day Sotheby's auction, called Beautiful Inside My Head Forever, is a rare example of an artist selling his work straight through an auction house. The Golden Calf exhibit sold for £9.2m.
His statue Anatomy of an Angel has been estimated at being worth £1m to £1.5m.
Mr Hirst remains a controversial figure in the art world. His work The Abyss, containing used cigarette butts, sold for just under its top estimate of £1.8m.
The Incredible Journey, a zebra in formaldehyde, has been valued at between £2m and £3m.
Pigs Might Fly continues Mr Hirst's theme of making animals appear to be fantastical creatures. He describes his "mini retrospective" as "probably the most amazing show I've put on".
