Madonna took to the stage at London's Wembley Stadium to perform the only English date on her Sticky and Sweet world tour.
The 50-year-old opened the show singing Candy Shop, a track from her latest album, Hard Candy.
Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson were spotted in the crowd. Penelope Cruz and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas were also reportedly there.
The singer thanked God and her friends during her performance. She also announced she was pleased it had not rained.
Her dance routines were energetic. The yoga and gym fanatic even managed to skip through one track.
Fans were left waiting half-an-hour for the singer to appear on stage.
Some fans struggled to get home following the gig's late start. Some fans have also complained about poor sound quality in parts of the stadium.
The mother-of-three performed 22 songs, including Hung Up, La Isla Bonita and Vogue.
Britney Spears appeared on a big screen during one song performed during the show.
She did an impromptu acapella version of Express Yourself, after asking the crowd for requests. Some asked her to sing Gambler, but she admitted she did not know the words.
