BBC website readers have been sending us photos of Citroen 2CVs, as the iconic car turns 60. Proving that you can drive a 2CV across a ploughed field without breaking any eggs. Photo: David Andrews
Neil Annat: Here is my 1956 ripple bonnet 2CV. It is regarded by other drivers either with derision or admiration in roughly equal measure.
Tom Mackenzie: I learned to drive, aged seven, in one of my father's 2CVs so there was no hesitation when it came to choosing a car to drive away from the church on our wedding day.
Catherine Payton found this pitiful example by the side of the road whilst was on holiday in France. It was treated very much like an old shoe, discarded when of no further use.
Rowan Seymour: My dad and our goat Miranda, in one of our 2CVs, 1982. The goat was being taken to see her 'boyfriend'."
Topher Dawson: This is my three-wheeled wooden 2CV. It's done many thousands of miles and can do 57 mpg and 78 mph.
David Orbeton: My dog Sparky in my 2CV. He loves it, especially jumping up to look out the sun roof.
Rupert Potts: "Taken in Mongolia during my attempt to complete the Mongol Rally in 2007. We completed it in 28 days and suffered one mechanical breakdown. 8,000 miles in 28 days by 2CV."
Nick Wallis: I learnt to drive in a 2CV many years ago and bought another last year. Despite the advances in modern cars it is still brings the biggest smile to my face.
Louise Bastock: A motoring icon in a motorway services. With some Ferraris.
The 2CV also makes a comfortable alternative to a tent. Photo: Jean-Pierre Poyer. Send your photos to yourpics@bbc.co.uk, see right-hand side for terms and conditions.
