France's iconic car the Citroen 2CV is turning 60. BBC website readers have been sending in their 2CV shots. Steve Lowe: "This is my old 2CV Ziggy, it now lives in France but we keep in touch."
Clare Hartgen: "My partner Andrew racing his car in the 2CV 24 hour race at Snetterton, England his team came in 9th - not bad when they started in 25th position!"
Captain Sam White: "I have been buying 2CVs since 1969. I bought this van in 1984 but it has recently been restored to its former glory."
Margrete Johansen: "I had my first 2CV in 1971 and have thousands of stories to tell. When this couple saw my 2CV they asked if they could use it for their wedding, of course I said yes!"
Steve Lowe and four of his friends all had 2CVs while working at Disneyland in France. His first 'Spéciale', known as Dame Edna, has now been exported and rebuilt in Canada. Photo: Steve Lowe
Claudie Avenel:"This is our family's 2CV in a suburb of Paris in 1969. My brothers and father are working on it before taking it on holiday to the south of France, my father was really just there for support!"
Kevin Monk: "2CVs are wonderful little cars. Here are my 1967 AK350 van and my 1987 Dolly. I bought the van in France for the sole purpose of bringing back copious amounts of wine from Spain!"
Aldo Hanson: "My ex wife liked 2CVs so against my better 'Clarksonian' judgement, I got her one for Valentine's day in 1986. We drove more than 100,000 miles through Europe in it."
Ben Lenthall: "This is my 2CV van on a hot day in the south of France. I bought it from an Italian woman when I retired to France but it has now been sold and taken to Germany to be restored."
