The Saracen's Head, which dates back to 1492, sits on The Green in Kings Norton, Birmingham, neighbouring the Old Grammar School.
It was originally built as a house for a wealthy merchant but was later turned into an inn.
The restoration work to the Saracen's Head cost a total of £3.5m and took four years.
Historians have claimed the wife of Charles I, Queen Henrietta Maria, stayed overnight in the building, during the English Civil War in 1643.
The building, which is by St Nicholas's Church, is presently owned by the local parish.
People will be able to hire out rooms in the restored Saracen's Head for events, including weddings.
The Saracen's Head was picked from 20,000 sites for the BBC's Restoration programme.
