In pictures: Colombo bus blast

More than 20 people have been killed and many others wounded in a bomb explosion targeting a bus in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo.

Eyewitnesses said they saw bodies inside the bus, which was pocked with shrapnel marks.

Ambulances ferried survivors to hospitals for treatment.

Officials blame Tamil Tiger rebels for a string of recent attacks on public transport in the south. The rebels accuse the military of killing civilians in the north.

Friday's attack was the third targeting commuters in and around Colombo in less than two weeks.
