On 8 May 2008, the eight winning students of the Schools Question Time Challenge gathered in Dorking to meet each other and share ideas for their special programme on 10 July.
The students discussed what roles they would like to take on during the production of the programme and also what issues they thought were particularly relevant to young people today.
They also came up with a long list of the panellists they would like to see appear on this year's Schools Question Time. Some of the names suggested included Russell Brand and Jeremy Clarkson.
The students attended a rehearsal of Question Time and found out what it was like to be a member of the audience and put forward their thoughts and opinions.
They also observed how the Question Time production team set up some of the technical equipment in preparation for that evening's programme.
During the rehearsal David Dimbleby met the students for the first time and found out what they were looking forward to most about the Schools Question Time experience.
The students also pretended to be panellists. Schools Question Time 2008 was broadcast on Thursday, 10 July, 2008 on BBC One.
