A new book is to be published chronicling the life of Prince Charles, in the year the heir to the throne will turn 60.
The hardback book, due to be published next month, features family snaps, paintings, copies of letters and even pictures of the young prince's favourite toys.
This picture of the prince's Sunbeam Coupe toy car is one of the 270 illustrations selected to appear in the 120-page biography.
From the family album is this photo of Charles and his sister, Princess Anne, cleaning a life raft on the royal yacht, Britannia, during a royal tour of Commonwealth countries in 1953-4.
This one was taken in September 1952 at Balmoral Castle and shows a young Charles and his mother, the Queen, looking out of the window across the grounds.
The collection, which is also to be exhibited at Windsor Castle from 16-22 May, gives a glimpse of the prince's relationships including the very close one he had with his grandmother - the Queen Mother.
...and his formative relationship with his little sister, the Princess Royal. The images are taken from the Prince's own collection, as well as the Royal Archives and the Royal Photograph Collection.
