In pictures: Hunger strike in Georgia

BBC News Website reader Dudley Piggott took these photos of protests in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. The protests which lasted more than two weeks ended on Tuesday.

About 50 protesters and opposition MPs went on hunger strike. They were demanding changes to Georgia's electoral rules which they claim are biased.

The protesters set up a tent camp outside parliament where they stayed day and night for more than two weeks.

An appeal from the country's religious leader Patriarch Ilia II helped to secure the end of the hunger strike.
