In pictures: Gaza rocket attacks

A series of Israeli air strikes have killed a number of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Those killed on Thursday included four children. Several people were wounded in the attacks.

A Palestinian man lost consciousness after seeing the bodies of the children who were playing at the time.

The father of six-month-old Palestinian baby Mohammed al-Borai carries his son's body at the funeral.

In this house, a five-month-old baby was killed.

Israel said it had targeted militants responsible for launching rocket attacks into Israel. This missile hit the Palestinian ministry of the interior.

On Wednesday, an Israeli student was killed in the town of Sderot - the first to die in a rocket attack in nine months.

Foreign ambassadors went to see the rocket threat at first hand, as Israel's prime minister vowed to punish the Palestinian "terrorists".

But the rockets have continued to fall - causing panic among the population of Sderot as the sirens alert yet another oncoming attack.

In the town of Ashkelon a flat was hit.
