Camden woke to scenes of devastation on Sunday, with fire crews still working to put out the enormous fire which had ripped through the famous market overnight
Parts of the market were still smouldering, including the well-known Hawley Arms pub - haunt of celebrities such as singer Amy Winehouse.
Normally packed streets were empty after police warned people to stay away as the clean-up began.
More than 40 firefighters and eight fire engines remained at the scene to damp down on Sunday.
Police say several main streets will be closed off for the next three or four days - it may be longer before the Hawley Arms can reopen.
Those shops able to reopen attempted business as usual on Sunday morning, with curious onlookers mingling with shoppers on Camden High Street.
With many businesses bemoaning the loss of their usual Sunday trading, this pub hoped to make the best of a bad day.
