A huge fire has swept through a wholesale market in India's eastern city of Calcutta.
More than 1,000 shops were gutted in the city's famous Burrabazar market, though officials reported no casualties.
More than 40 fire engines battled the fire for several hours, managing only to partially bring it under control.
Firefighters used specialist equipment to tackle the blaze which engulfed several multi-storey buildings in the area.
Desperate shopkeepers and traders tried to rescue whatever they could, putting their lives at risk.
Huge crowds soon gathered near the scene. Officials said it was not clear what had started the blaze early on Saturday.
