In Pictures: Snow falling in NI

The snow arrived in west Belfast just after 1900 GMT, according to Karenann Toney from Andersonstown.

Paula Devaney sent in this picture of her daughter Rebecca (five) with the snowman she built with the help of her grandad.

Andrew Tubman captured this image of children enjoying the snow in Spa, County Down.

But the snow also caused havoc for motorists. Tim Forshaw took this picture from his house near Banbridge, County Down.

Motorists also faced a treacherous journey during a snow storm in Crossgar, County Down.

But Thomas Brown (eight) and his sister Jessie (seven) were delighted with the weather at Ardkeen, near Portaferry.
