An MP has called for the Union Jack to be combined with the Welsh Flag to reflect Wales' status within the UK. Stan Lewry was one of many who sent in their own designs.
Amanda Burton: "I did this a couple of years ago for my daughter, who thought it was unfair Wales wasn't on the Union Flag."
Jonathan Crick: "I believe the flag should represent the patron saints of each country in such a way that we don't lose the identity of each."
Matthew Harris thinks the dragon wouldn't work, but the Cross of David would.
Will Vernon puts the dragon on the centre of the flag.
Oliver Swann: "It's Wales propping up the rest of the Union. Just a bit of lateral thinking from a vegetarian."
The leek, a symbol of Wales, also features on Alex Prior's design.
Andrew Van Der Hoek thinks the initiative is an excellent idea: "Finally the Welsh have a chance to get their place on the Union Jack."
