Fire crews were called to a blaze at Maddiston Primary School near Falkirk at about 0100 GMT on Wednesday

About 50 firefighters tackled the blaze, which broke out in the central part of the building

The £8m school was nearing completion and pupils were looking forward to moving to the new building
