The Queen officially opened a revamped St Pancras station, the new home of the UK's high speed Eurostar service.

Her Majesty said the 800m St Pancras was "magnificent", and hoped it would become "a destination" in its own right.

High speed trains at St Pancras

The event saw two Eurostar trains and a Hitachi Bullet Train, which will shuttle spectators to and from the 2012 Olympic Park, arriving at St Pancras.
