Actress Kate Winslet (right), pictured with Kathy Bates and Dame Helen Mirren, was named British artist of the year at the 16th Bafta/LA Britannia Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Former James Bond Pierce Brosnan got the chance to revisit his most famous role as he presented an award to GoldenEye and Casino Royale director Martin Campbell.
Lucy Davis, a star of BBC comedy The Office, was among the guests. The 33-year-old can currently be seen opposite David Duchovny in raunchy sitcom Californication.
Reese Witherspoon lent her support to the annual event, which took place this year at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
