"I was tired after having worked the night shift [at] the Isle of Wight power station," writes Dave Everett. "Next morning, though, I took a few of the remains of Shanklin Pier."

"The whole village worked together to clear the roads," says Maurice Shelvin, who took this photo, "although access could still be quite a daunting experience!"
