Climate change campaigners have been involved in minor scuffles with police as they targeted the offices of Heathrow Airport operator BAA.
Organisers said 1,400 people took part during the day while police at the scene said there were 1,000 demonstrators.
Some 100 protesters sat down at the entrance to the car park at the BAA headquarters, trying to stop staff from coming into work.
Protesters stressed the march and direct action would be peaceful - but not strictly lawful.
The protesters have held talks and workshops as well as trying to disrupt aviation firms.
Six people were arrested during the day - including two for assault on a police officer, one for carrying Class A drugs, and one for criminal damage.
Reader Debbie Conway sent this picture. "I have been on the protest march with my children and was disgusted at the police's attitude," she said saying they disrupted the route.
Commander Joe Kaye, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "There's been some pushing and shoving but we've managed them safely and they've been allowed to make their protest."
