BBC News & Sport On Tour kicked off the summer with a trip to Nottingham's newly refurbished Market Square in May

It was also a chance for some of BBC's news and text services to be demystified for some visitors

Back in the main tent, younsters were able to make their own story online for Newsround

And the roadshow even saw a visit from Joe Dempsie (left), star of E4's hit tv show Skins

Meanwhile BBC Radio Five Live's Darren Fletcher helped out some sports commentators of the future

On the main stage. aptly-named East Midlands Today presenter Sara Blizzard showed off her weather predictions
