In pictures: Gaza clashes

A resurgence of factional violence between Fatah and Hamas gunmen has left dozens dead since Sunday.

Scores more have been injured in the fighting - the worst between the two sides for months.

Three ceasefires declared by the groups have broken down in as many days, with no end to the feuding in sight.

The violence stems from a long-term power struggle between Hamas and Fatah, despite the recent formation of a unity government.

In one of the deadliest incidents, at least five people were killed when the home of Fatah security chief Rashid Abu Shbak was ambushed, reportedly by Hamas gunmen.

Shops have shut and schools have closed in Gaza City, as many Palestinians are staying at home, too afraid to venture out.
