Shore shoot - Sienna Miller plays poet Dylan Thomas' wife Caitlin in the film The Edge of Love, while Keira Knightley is their mutual friend Vera Killick

The actresses were shooting scenes on the beach at New Quay in Ceredigion

Knightley took her role after reportedly seeing the script written by her mother

Welsh actor Matthew Rhys stars as Thomas

Part of the first day of filming also included scenes of Knightley walking along the beach cuddling a baby

Filming is set to take place against the backdrop of Cardigan Bay for the next two or three weeks
