The fashion world is mourning the death of stylist Isabella Blow, who has died aged 48.
Blow had early ambitions to be a nun but ended up instead as a revered style icon, eventually becoming fashion director for Tatler magazine.
She was well-known for her extravagant taste in outrageous hats, which became her trademark.
Blow was most famously associated with Irish milliner Philip Treacy, setting him up at the start of his career and frequently sporting one of his creations.
She also helped launch many new talents of the fashion world, including designer Alexander McQueen as well as models Stella Tennant, Honor Fraser and Sophie Dahl.
Blow has been described by Anna Wintour, the editor of American Vogue magazine, as "a free spirit that really believed in individual talent".
