Rhian Meara, 21, a student from Cardiff travelling to Bridgend, said: "It's a bit of a shambles when you hear they should have finished three days ago, but you want tracks that work."

Cheryl Masaga and children

Cheryl Masaga, from London, who had been visiting Llanelli with children Matrida, 10, and Paskali, 7, said: "I didn't know it was going on until I reached Cardiff. I think it's a bit rubbish."

Gareth Torrance

Gareth Torrance, 24, from Pencoed, who works for Admiral Insurance in Cardiff, said: "There was no information - I was on the station platform and was told I was getting a bus."

Simon Devereaux

Simon Devereaux, travelling from Manchester to Swansea, said: "I had no idea this was happening until I reached Cardiff. Information has been non-existent."
