The £35m redevelopment of Birmingham's historic Town Hall has been completed after two years. The building had been derelict for more than a decade.
Work will continue until the re-opening of the hall in October to retune the 6,000 pipes of the hall's ornate organ. The hall will re-open as a concert venue.
All the fixtures and fittings have been fully restored, including the main feature in the centre of the ceiling, a golden sunburst. The hall will house a total of 1,100 seats.
Work on the building has included substantial roof, stonework and plasterwork repairs all completed by a team of conservation professionals.
All areas of the building, opened in 1834, have been renovated including the foyer. The original single tier gallery arrangement inside remains.
