An inferno in California has engulfed several mansions in the exclusive seaside enclave of Malibu, dubbed the playground of the rich as many Hollywood celebrities own properties there.
Some 300 firefighters were involved in efforts to contain the blaze which started on Monday.
No-one was reported to have been injured in the blaze.
A combination of strong winds and low humidity may have contributed to the fire.
Most constructions in the area are made of wood to resist earthquakes, not fires.
The fast-moving blaze was short-lived, ceasing after burning down everything in sight.
