Bon Jovi have become the first major act to play at the O2 arena, formerly the Millennium Dome, in south-east London.
The American rock group posed for pictures before Sunday's gig at the arena, which can hold 20,000 fans.
You Give Love a Bad Name and Keep the Faith were among the hits which the band performed.
The group received a rapturous welcome, with some fans going on-stage to dance with singer Jon Bon Jovi.
The venue, said to be visible from space, was originally built to mark the turn of the millennium.
The new arena includes a smaller music venue, an 11-screen cinema multiplex and an exhibition space.
Performance artists entertained visitors to the complex, which is intended to host music, entertainment and sporting events.
Sir Elton John, the Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake are all due to play at the arena in the coming months.
