In pictures: Nigeria plane crash

A Nigerian plane carrying at least 100 people has crashed near the capital, Abuja.

The plane came down in a storm shortly after take-off. Four people have reportedly survived.

Eyewitnesses say they heard cries for help from survivors but were forced back by flames which had engulfed the plane.

The spiritual leader of Nigeria's Muslims, the Sultan of Sokoto, and his son, a senator, also died on the flight to Sokoto city.

Sokoto State Governor has announced five days of mourning for the sultan and the other victims of the crash.
