A number of bridges and key roads have been hit, including the main road linking northern Lebanon to Syria.
Petrol stations have also been targeted.
Shops were also damaged in the onslaught.
Thousands have been forced to flee.
In Israel people have been targeted by rocket attacks from Hezbollah militants.
The northern town of Safed has been one of the worst-hit.
Several rockets have penetrated as far south as Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, 40km (25 miles) from the border.
For days families have been camped out in bomb shelters.
