Israel launched a helicopter attack on the Palestinian cabinet building in Gaza City on Saturday amid escalating tensions following the abduction of an Israeli soldier a week ago.
The attack caused widespread damage, especially to Prime Minister Ismail Haniya's second floor office.
Photographers and police scrambled for cover in the aftermath of the attack as Israeli aircraft were heard overhead.
Mr Haniya (R) inspected the damage after the raid.
He said it was an attack on a "symbol of the Palestinian people" and urged international action.
