During his visit to Daerwynno Outdoor Centre, the prince was challenged to try and net a newt from the pond

The prince's first attempt failed to net anything but pond weed

But second time around he caught a snail and a worm

Children showed him insects they had caught as he joked with their mothers

Cooking on a campfire was shown to Prince Charles

Maddie Davies offered Prince Charles a bacon sandwich she was making

But the prince declined before he was shown around the centre

Children lined up to wave goodbye as the prince left the centre
