In pictures: Death of Milosevic

Supporters of Slobodan Milosevic in Serbia have been paying tribute to him outside his Socialist Party headquarters.

In his birthplace of Pozarevac, a book of condolences was being signed as supporters showed their feelings in Moscow.

Other residents of Belgrade chose to pay tribute at the grave of ex-Serb PM Zoran Djindjic. The third anniversary of his assassination was overshadowed by Mr Milosevic's death.

And a woman paid respect to 88 Kosovo Albanians killed by Serb forces in Djakovica in 1999. Kosovo Albanians have expressed anger that Mr Milosevic finally escaped justice.

Croatians in the capital, Zagreb, reflected on the death of Mr Milosevic.

Uncertainty continues over whether the former leader will be buried alongside his father in Lijeva Reka, Montenegro or elsewhere.

Chief war crimes prosecutor Carla del Ponte has called for more fugitives' arrests - but graffiti in Belgrade reflects much Serb opposition.
