In pictures: Returning home

Lebanese families are continuing to return to their homes, despite Israeli warnings that the region is still unsafe.

Many people have returned to find their homes and shops reduced to rubble. At this site it is clear who some locals think is ultimately to blame.

Some Lebanese have been flying the Hezbollah flag from their cars and making victory signs as they journey home.

But the scale of the destruction has simply left others in tears.

In Kiryat Shmona and other rocket-hit towns of northern Israel, residents have been returning home too.

Israeli troops have been crossing back over the border, some clutching souvenirs from the battlefield.

These returning soldiers were handed red roses by civilians as they arrived home.
