More than 100 people have been killed and dozens are missing in the wake of Typhoon Saomai, which struck eastern China on Thursday.
The storm made landfall in Cangnan county in Zhejiang province and moved inland, brings strong winds and torrential rain.
In Jinxiang town, villagers were mourning 41 people, including eight children, who were killed when a building they were sheltering in collapsed.
Fifty thousand houses have been destroyed across two provinces and power supplies are affected. Troops are on their way to help the rescue effort.
Residents and officials face a daunting task to rebuild
Eastern China has been particularly hard-hit by typhoons this season. Some regions are still recovering from Typhoon Bilis, which caused the deaths of 600 people.
